Trust but Verify

Acts 17:10-11
But as soon as night fell, the brothers sent Sha’ul and Sila off to Berea.
As soon as they arrived, they went to the synagogue. Now the people here were of nobler character than the ones in Thessalonica; they eagerly welcomed the message, checking the Tanakh every day to see if the things Sha’ul was saying were true.

It is not enough to sit in a pew and accept the words of the person preaching as truth. We are to be as the good people of Berea, checking someone’s teaching against the inspired Word of ADONAI. Because it is only by this measure can we know if someone is teaching truth or just exercising their opinion. Lord let my witness always be a true representation of You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
