Storms

Psalm 107:23-30

Those who go down to the sea in ships,

plying their trade on the great ocean,

saw the works of ADONAI,

his wonders in the deep.

For at his word the storm-wind arose,

lifting up towering waves.

The sailors were raised up to the sky,

then plunged into the depths.

At the danger, their courage failed them,

they reeled and staggered like drunk men,

and all their skill was swallowed up.

In their trouble they cried to ADONAI,

and he rescued them from their distress.

He silenced the storm and stilled its waves,

and they rejoiced as the sea grew calm.

Then he brought them safely

to their desired port.

 

The psalmist in his mindset of praising Adonai also prophesy about the Talmidim panicking on the sea of Galilee. How can anyone deny the supernatural Word of God. Abba, You show me afformation after afformation, Lord forgive me when I doubt in my weakness and have to cry out to You in my storms for rescue. I ask this all in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Trust

John 1:12-13

But to as many as did receive him, to those who put their trust in his person and power, he gave the right to become children of God, not because of bloodline, physical impulse or human intention, but because of God.

 

Adonai does not look at us as men do. It is the circumcision of our hearts and our willingness to submit to His authority in our lives that sets us apart as believers. That and accepting the infilling of the the Ruach haKodesh, the Holy Spirit, lets us stand as boldly as Yochanan the Immerser in giving our testimony of God in our lives. Thank You Lord for Your indwelling Spirit and guiding me through these days that Your have given me. Let all my words and actions bring Glory to You Abba, for there is nothing more I can do but serve You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen

Shabbat

Isaiah 58:13-14

“If you hold back your foot on Shabbat

from pursuing your own interests on my holy day;

if you call Shabbat a delight,

ADONAI’s holy day, worth honoring;

then honor it by not doing your usual things

or pursuing your interests or speaking about them.

If you do, you will find delight in ADONAI—

I will make you ride on the heights of the land

and feed you with the heritage of your ancestor Ya’akov,

for the mouth of ADONAI has spoken.”

 

How can I add anymore to God’s word today.

Salvation

2 Peter 2:20-21

Indeed, if they have once escaped the pollutions of the world through knowing our Lord and Deliverer, Yeshua the Messiah, and then have again become entangled and defeated by them, their latter condition has become worse than their former. It would have been better for them not to have known the Way of righteousness than, fully knowing, to turn from the holy command delivered to them.

 

One’s salvation can be lost! And just as Yeshua taught about removing one evil spirit and straightening our house, if we don’t keep it filled with God wants then seven more spirits return with the first when we abandon our salvation, our rebellion is worse because we have knowledge that should, if our trust in Adonai is true, sustain us. Lord keep me in Your will. I know that I am a fickle and distractible person, keep me focused on Your plan for my life. I see Your care for me, let me never take that for granted. I ask this all in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Watchmen

Isaiah 52:7-8

How beautiful on the mountains

are the feet of him who brings good news,

proclaiming shalom, bringing good news

of good things, announcing salvation

and saying to Tziyon, “Your God is King!”

Listen! Your watchmen are raising their voices,

shouting for joy together.

For they will see, before their own eyes,

ADONAI returning to Tziyon.

 

As watchmen of Adonai’s Word we get to see with our own eyes the returning of God to the land and His people. How do we become watchmen by proclaiming the Word which is Yeshua to the world. It is our duty to let everyone know of His loving kindness. Adonai strengthen me to always be ready to share Your Word. Check me when I would rather yell and someone and soften me so that they to will know Your love. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Humble

1 Peter 5:6-7

Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that at the right time he may lift you up. Throw all your anxieties upon him, because he cares about you.

 

Oh Abba I confess now this is one of the hardest things for me to do. I am a proud person, proud of my Irish heritage, proud of my parents from whom I have come (all of them), proud of my family and friends, proud of the work I have done and do. Yet for all this pride it amounts to nothing when I am doing the will of God. I serve in my congregation not because I want people to look at me but because it is the only way I know how to support my trust in Adonai. I will never be a head rabbi of a congregation, or a stadium slaying evangelist, but I can take out the trash after a fellowship and I can sweep the floors. Submitting to the authority that Adonai places over us is to me the first step of trusting fully in Him. The next is allowing Him to care for those things that most dog us, be it bills, relationships, or whatever. Because it is then that we can see the leadership and lovingkindness Adonai has for us. Lord let me always see Your hand in my life to strengthen my trust in You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Unfication

1 Peter 3:8

Finally, all of you, be one in mind and feeling; love as brothers; and be compassionate and humble-minded,

 

The biggest thing that keeps the body of believers from achieving great movements in the land is the divisions of mindfulness towards God. Kefah, Peter, tells us how we are supposed to act and not get caught up in religious divisions or thinking one might be outside the authority Adonai places over them. Lord I want to see five thousand fed on a couple of fish and loaves, I want to be there when the sick are healed and the dead raised up. Abba I want to see Your Ruach go forth with power through this land. Turn all our hearts to You so that Your will can be done. I ask this in Yeshua’s name. amen.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen people, the King’s cohanim,a holy nation,a people for God to possess! Why? In order for you to declare the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

 

There is a commision that comes with belief. We as believers are not to remain stagnate in our trust in Adonai but we are to tell the our whole world who we have come to know as Lord and savior. Sheep make sheep to serve the Great Shepherd. Abba let me always have Your Words first on my lips and let me edify all who are around me so that they can see Your Ruach in my life as an example to them. And Lord don’t let me stand on words alone but let my actions match Your Word in my heart. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Choosing

James 4:17

So then, anyone who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it is committing a sin.

 

There is really is not much more to it than this. If you know what is right and good but choose to do something selfish and contrary to the Word of Adonai, you are in sin. It is only by denying our self centeredness and focusing on God that we can get past this hurdle. Sha’ul tells us to crucify our old worldly nature to Yeshua’s stake so that we can live fully for God. I know I am not perfect at this but I pray for it everyday, I read and study His Word everyday, and I like to think I get better everyday. Abba keep me in Your Word, let Your oxgoads convict me when I am tired or lazy to come first to You in my day. Continue to show me the grace and mercy that is Your Word as burned in my spirit by the Ruach. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Repent

2 Kings 17:13-15

ADONAI had warned Isra’el and Y’hudah in advance through every prophet and seer, “Turn from your evil ways; and obey my mitzvot and regulations, in accordance with the entire Torah which I ordered your ancestors to keep and which I sent to you through my servants the prophets.” Nevertheless, they refused to listen but made themselves as stubborn as their ancestors, who did not put their trust in ADONAI their God. Thus they rejected his laws; his covenant, which he had made with their ancestors; and the solemn warnings he had given them. Instead they pursued worthless things and became worthless themselves, imitating the nations around them, whom ADONAI had ordered them not to emulate.

 

The world it seems has become just like Israel and Judah before Adonai cast them into captivity. What country is keeping to the morality of Torah? What country is protecting it’s widows and orphans? What country is serving the One True God. I can think of none, because they are all too busy trying to out do the other. We as a nation need to turn back to God and trust in His ways. Dear Lord forgive my country and my people when they pursue selfish and self-centered desires. Pour out Your Ruach so we can worship You anew as we should. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen
