Living Water

Revelation 21:1-7

​ Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth,for the old heaven and the old earth had passed away, and the sea was no longer there. Also I saw the holy city, New Yerushalayim, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne say, “See! God’s Sh’khinah is with mankind, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and he himself, God-with-them, will be their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will no longer be any death; and there will no longer be any mourning, crying or pain; because the old order has passed away.”

Then the One sitting on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new!” Also he said, “Write, ‘These words are true and trustworthy!'” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the ‘A’ and the ‘Z,’ the Beginning and the End. To anyone who is thirsty I myself will give water free of charge from the Fountain of Life. He who wins the victory will receive these things, and I will be his God, and he will be my son.

 

All my life I have been told we need water. Our bodies will die without it in around 3 days, in fact almost 70 percent of our bodies is water. Yet ADONAI in His glory will remove all water as we know it and we will be fed directly from His glory a fountain of living water to last forever and ever, just as Yeshua told the samaritan woman at the well. I will be the first to admit I don’t understand a lot about God’s Word and especially the book of Revelation, but I am excited that one day our trust will be rewarded to always stand in the presence of our Lord and King! Lord keep me always in Your will and lead me to the still waters that give eternal life in You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Stop the Insanity

Revelation 16:11

yet they cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores, and did not turn from their sinful deeds.

 

God does try to get our attention. There is a whole bible filled with examples and they usually deal with people who are tired of doing the same painful thing over and over again. I know I have beat my head against that wall several times before I came to trust. Nothing will change until you are willing to trust in the sacrifice of Yeshua and the sovereignty of ADONAI. Lord please let this world see You in their lives so they can come to trust in You, I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Praise Him

Revelation 14:7

In a loud voice he said,

“Fear God, give him glory,

for the hour has come when he will pass judgment!

Worship the One who made heaven and earth,

the sea and the springs of water!”

 

We are always to Fear God, with the dread that He deserves as Creator of this world, Lord of heaven’s host, the Giver of our Salvation. We are to praise Him in all things for in His time He will rule on His creation. Lord You are Holy and nothing can stand before You. You stand outside time and yet move in the world You have created for us, how can I do anything other than worship You Lord God Almighty. Amen.

Service

Revelation 7:13-15

One of the elders asked me, “These people dressed in white robes—who are they, and where are they from?” “Sir,” I answered, “you know.” Then he told me, “These are the people who have come out of the Great Persecution. They have washed their robes and made them white with the blood of the Lamb. That is why they are before God’s throne.

“Day and night they serve him in his Temple;

and the One who sits on the throne

will put his Sh’khinah upon them.

 

This is us the body of believers! In this body and time only the sons of Aaron are aloud to serve in the temple that is built by men here on earth. But if we stand firm in our trust in the sacrifice of Yeshua and follow the mitzvot of ADONAI then we will be allowed to serve in the ultimate temple of God’s presence where there will be no sin or death! Oh what a glorious place that will be! Abba thank You for Your promise in Your Word! I praise Your Holy Name, amen!

Perseverance

Revelation 2:1-5

​ “To the angel of the Messianic Community in Ephesus, write: ‘Here is the message from the one who holds the seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven gold menorahs: “I know what you have been doing, how hard you have worked, how you have persevered, and how you can’t stand wicked people; so you tested those who call themselves emissaries but aren’t—and you found them to be liars. You are persevering, and you have suffered for my sake without growing weary. But I have this against you: you have lost the love you had at first. Therefore, remember where you were before you fell, turn from this sin, and do what you used to do before. Otherwise, I will come to you and remove your menorah from its place—if you don’t turn from your sin!

 

I don’t know for sure what these believers were being chastised for but it strikes me as familiarity. The “been there, done that” so I don’t have to do anymore mentality. Where ritual and tradition become more important than following the Word which Yeshua embodied for us. I have to admit I like routines, it sets well with my military mind and there is some need for that in our lives but when the routine becomes more important than the worship and service we owe ADONAI that is when we become at fault. Abba thank You for placing me in a diverse congregation so there is always someone or some event to focus my worship and praise on You. Lord keep me strong in pursuing Your will not only in my life but in Your creation. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Love

2 John 1:6

Moreover, love is this: that we should live according to his commands. This is the command, as you people have heard from the beginning; live by it!

 

We show the world our love for ADONAI by keeping His commands as given to us in Torah. This was surmised by Yeshua when He was tested by the leaders of Judah, love ADONAI with everything we have mind, body and spirit, and love our neighbors as ourselves. Lord let me always be faithful to Your commands. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Unity

1 John 5:1-5

Everyone who believes that Yeshua is the Messiah has God as his father, and everyone who loves a father loves his offspring too. Here is how we know that we love God’s children: when we love God, we also do what he commands. For loving God means obeying his commands. Moreover, his commands are not burdensome, because everything which has God as its Father overcomes the world. And this is what victoriously overcomes the world: our trust. Who does overcome the world if not the person who believes that Yeshua is the Son of God?

 

There is unity in the body of believers, no one is alone in his trust in ADONAI. How do we see this unity in the actions of one another keeping God’s Word and by this defeating all the worldly influences in our lives meant to separate us from ADONAI. Lord thank You for the friends and family You have given me who help strengthen my trust in You. Lord thank You for everyone who praises Your Holy name, amen.

Seeing Through

John 20:14-17

As she said this, she turned around and saw Yeshua standing there, but she didn’t know it was he. Yeshua said to her, “Lady, why are you crying? Whom are you looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you’re the one who carried him away, just tell me where you put him; and I’ll go and get him myself.” Yeshua said to her, “Miryam!” Turning, she cried out to him in Hebrew, “Rabbani!” (that is, “Teacher!”) “Stop holding onto me,” Yeshua said to her, “because I haven’t yet gone back to the Father. But go to my brothers, and tell them that I am going back to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.”

 

How many times have I been Miryam, so wrapped up in the troubles I am dealing with I cannot see ADONAI standing right in front of me. And even when that loving hand of guidance comes I still don’t recognize it fully until God speaks to me through all the pain I am putting on myself. It is in that moment when I see the trial for what it is, a correction or lesson or both, and learn from it, that I can do the next task that God would have me do. Abba thank You for all the ox goads and instructions that You have put in my life so I may better understand and love You. Thank You for Your Holy Word embodied in Yeshua so I could be redeemed back to You. Lord let me serve You in all that I do. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Focus on God

John 18:28

They led Yeshua from Kayafa to the governor’s headquarters. By now it was early morning. They did not enter the headquarters building because they didn’t want to become ritually defiled and thus unable to eat the Pesach meal.

 

The leaders of Israel had the very being of ADONAI in their hands and they were more concerned for their rituals than discovering the love God had for them. My heart is breaking right now for all the people who are caught up in rituals that keep them from knowing the fullness of ADONAI. Dear Lord let the veil fall from the people’s eyes so that they can come to know You before it is too late. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Obey

John 14:21

Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me, and the one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.”

 

This is the center of trusting ADONAI, keep His commands. In doing so the love of Yeshua will fill you till there is no room left for sin. Lord thank You for Your Word which is embodied in the Mashiach. Lord keep me focused on Your will and not my own. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
