“But this I do admit to you: I worship the God of our fathersin accordance with the Way (which they call a sect). I continue to believe everything that accords with the Torah and everything written in the Prophets.
Just as Sha’ul proclaimed in front of the Governor judging him, believing in the sacrifice of Yeshua for the forgiveness of our sin accords with everything in the Torah and the books of the Prophets. When one comes to a full understanding of God you can no longer divide Torah from the New Covenant. Abba let continue to learn from Your Word so I may be as fearless as Sha’ul in my testimony. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage! For just as you have borne a faithful witness to me in Yerushalayim, so now you must bear witness in Rome.”
Sha’ul had been prophesied over throughout Asia that he would be put in chains in Yerushalayim. He was arrested while obeying the very laws of Torah he was accused of disobeying. Two riots in two days started with his speaking. How much darker could it get for him. Yet in all this turmoil, and because he was keeping obedient to ADONAI the Lord himself stands by Sha’ul and gives him courage for the days ahead. It is the same for us, no matter how dark it may seem around us God stands with us and shows us our tomorrows. Lord thank You for letting me put my hope always in You. Bless Your holy name, amen.
Tehillim (Psalms) 25:15
My eyes are always directed toward ADONAI,
for he will free my feet from the net.
Concentrating on the troubles that entangle me in this life will only increase my worry and stress and may even increase my troubles. Yet if I choose to focus on ADONAI when trouble seeks to drag me down as David writes, God in His righteousness will remove my troubles for me. Lord let me always be focused on You in my life. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
Vayikra (Leviticus) 23:1
ADONAI said to Moshe, “Tell the people of Isra’el: ‘The designated times of ADONAI which you are to proclaim as holy convocations are my designated times.
Chapter 23 of Vayikra (Leviticus) sets forth all the feast days of ADONAI’s calendar, and though I may look forward to celebrating them and enjoying the company of friends and sharing of God’s bounty these days throughout the year are not my own. These are times that ADONAI has claimed for Himself to open the portals of heaven and come near and renew our spirits with fresh fire. For all the joy and festivity that surrounds them, He is to be center of the celebration. Lord let my focus always be on You. Be the light that David wrote that will light my path through the days of darkness to the good pastures. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
But I consider my own life of no importance to me whatsoever, as long as I can finish the course ahead of me, the task I received from the Lord Yeshua—to declare in depth the Good News of God’s love and kindness.
To act with such boldness and abandon. To be so laser focused like Sha’ul as to see no impediment but continually share the gift of salvation with the nations. ADONAI make me as bold as Sha’ul and leave the worries of the day in Your hands. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
Then some of the Jewish exorcists who traveled from place to place tried to make use of the name of the Lord Yeshua in connection with people who had evil spirits. They would say, “I exorcise you by the Yeshua that Sha’ul is proclaiming!” One time, seven sons of a Jewish cohen gadol named Skeva were doing this; and the evil spirit answered them. It said, “Yeshua I know. And Sha’ul I recognize. But you? Who are you?” Then the man with the evil spirit fell upon them, overpowered them and gave them such a beating that they ran from the house, naked and bleeding.
There is a difference about knowing of God and having an intimate relationship with God. The sons of Skeva didn’t look to an infilling of the Ruach before performing an exorcism, instead they trusted rituals and statements without comprehension of what they were calling forth. Their lack of relationship with ADONAI allowed the evil spirit to overcome them. Yet had they invested their trust in ADONAI and accepted the sacrifice of Yeshua for their sins so that the Spirit of God, the Ruach HaKodesh could fill them then nothing could stand against them. Lord do not let me start a day without looking to You for Your leadership in my life. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
Sha’ul also began carrying on discussions every Shabbat in the synagogue, where he tried to convince both Jews and Greeks. But after Sila and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Sha’ul felt pressed by the urgency of the message and testified in depth to the Jews that Yeshua is the Messiah.
It is the same for us today, the urgency of the message that salvation can only be found through the sacrifice of Yeshua ha Mashiach, Jesus our Messiah. Our lives here are finite and we must use that time to let all have the opportunity to seek ADONAI. It is only in reconciliation with the Creator of all things can we as people truly find joy. Lord let me act as boldly and urgently as Sha’ul and reach out to all You have place in my path. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
“In the past, God overlooked such ignorance; but now he is commanding all people everywhere to turn to him from their sins. For he has set a Day when he will judge the inhabited world, and do it justly, by means of a man whom he has designated. And he has given public proof of it by resurrecting this man from the dead.”
Once God has filled our senses, we cannot deny His is. There is nothing in our lives that can nullify what God had done for us through the blood of Yeshua, if we only accept and follow Him, and as Yeshua said to almost everyone, “go and sin no more.” Lord hold me to Your path and guard me from wandering. Let me be focus only on You in all aspects of my life. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
Vayikra (Leviticus) 10:1-2
But Nadav and Avihu, sons of Aharon, each took his censer, put fire in it, laid incense on it, and offered unauthorized fire before ADONAI, something he had not ordered them to do. At this, fire came forth from the presence of ADONAI and consumed them, so that they died in the presence of ADONAI.
When we treat as common what has been set aside to be holy our selfishness will be destroyed. The sons of Aharon for whatever reason did not heed the calling God had placed on their lives and went about their duties uninvested and uncaring. This lack of character ultimately led to their deaths, it is the same for us when we as believers treat as common a call that ADONIA has put on our lives and thus not nearly as important as seeing to our selfish nature. Lord let me always to be worthy to serve You without selfish motives but as You have called us to serve You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
Vayikra (Leviticus) 9:22-24
Aharon raised his hands toward the people, blessed them and came down from offering the sin offering, the burnt offering and the peace offerings. Moshe and Aharon entered the tent of meeting, came out and blessed the people. Then the glory of ADONAI appeared to all the people! (iii) Fire came forth from the presence of ADONAI, consuming the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.
There must be a cleansing of our hearts and souls before the fire can fall and fill us with the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit. Just as the nation of Isra’el was cleansed by the sacrifice Aharon offered for their sins on the altar, it was after that blood atonement that the glory of God appeared, and all the people saw the presence of ADONAI in their lives. It is the same for us today we must place our sin under the blood sacrificed by Yeshua and then the glory of God can fill our lives. Lord as I struggle with a totally examined life let me keep no sin from You to cleanse and remove so that I may be filled with Your presence. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
