Trust

Romans 4:21-25

He was fully convinced that what God has promised, He also is able to do. That is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now not only for his sake was it written that it was credited to him, but for our sake as well. It is credited to us as those who trust in Him who raised Yeshua our Lord from the dead. He was handed over for our transgressions and raised up for the sake of setting us right.

There is only one way to enter into heaven, trust God, just as Abraham did. We must trust in everything God has done for us including sacrificing His son Yeshua for all of our sins. There is no other way.

Community

1 Thessalonians 5:14-22

We urge you, brothers and sisters, correct the unruly, comfort the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone. See that no one repays evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.
Rejoice always,
pray constantly,
in everything give thanks;
for this is God’s will for you in Messiah Yeshua.
Do not quench the Spirit,
do not despise prophetic messages,
but test all things, hold fast to what is good,
keep away from every kind of evil.

Sha’ul has given us in his letter to the Thessalonians how we as believers in Adonai are to act. This is how we as believers bear the fruit that Yeshua taught, to act otherwise is to be worldly. Thank You God for giving me brothers who are willing to step out and correct me when I am wrong, comfort me when I am sad, and encourage me to help others. Without Your body of believers to uplift me I do not think I would be able to discern Your Ruach in my life. Thank You Lord for Your caring. Bless You Lord the author of all life, Amen

Prayer

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3

We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers—continually remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadiness of hope in our Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

Praying for others is easy for me to do when someone is in need of something such as salvation or healing or financial relief, but to thank God for the good people in my life who constantly help me and my family I do not praise God enough for as Sha’ul does. We as the body must continually remember before God all the good that we receive from the body of believers so that help does not become common and mundane but remains special and a revelation of God’s love in our lives. Abba forgive me for being flippant with the help that you place in my life. Thank You for reminding me to be thankful for all that you let me have, family, friends and an open heart. Keep me always in Your will so others that have blessed me will be blessed also. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Ownership

Matthew 27:1-4

When daybreak came, the ruling kohanim and elders of the people conspired against Yeshua to put Him to death. And they tied Him up, led Him away, and handed Him over to Pilate, the governor. Then Judah, His betrayer, saw that Yeshua had been condemned. Feeling remorse, he brought the thirty silver pieces back to the ruling kohanim and elders, saying, “I’ve sinned, betraying innocent blood!”
But they said, “What’s that to us? You see to it yourself!”

I don’t know what provoked Judah to betray Yeshua, other than the Word saying the enemy entered his heart. Yet his sin because of that betrayal was all his own. That is the way it is for all of us. We may be doing what everyone else is doing or even doing what our government would have us do, but if it is sin and goes against the Word of God, then the choice and so the sin is all our own to answer for.

Actions

Matthew 25:37-40

“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You? Or thirsty and give You something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger and invite You in? Or naked and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’
“And answering, the King will say to them, ‘Amen, I tell you, whatever you did to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

It is in our actions in how we take care of the widow, orphan and foreigner that will set us apart as believers. Adonai keep me in Your will for caring for others. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Filthy Lucer

Matthew 21:12-13

Then Yeshua entered the Temple and drove out all those selling and buying in the Temple. He overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those selling doves. And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you are making it ‘a den of thieves’!”

Far to often in my past I have chosen money over worship. Giving up on a time to draw closer to God for some false sense of security in earning more money that in the end I just wasted on junk anyway. God forgive me of my sin of replacing You for money. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Forgiveness

Matthew 18:15, 21-22

“Now if your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault while you’re with him alone. If he listens to you, you have won your brother.

Then Peter came to Him and said, “Master, how often shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?”
Yeshua said to him, “No, not up to seven times, I tell you, but seventy times seven!

A lot of us including myself forget this is part of the forgiveness process.  Rather than confront the person who wronged me, I have in the past told everyone else of the wrong before I even try to find out the reasoning behind the action and if it was a mistake to begin with.  All this does is cause gossip and more hurt feelings.  Following Yeshua’s teaching, as I try to do now, I find out why the person did what they did and most times they didn’t realize they offended me and apologize. I also know that people unintentionally do the same bad act over and over again.  A friend of mine has corrected me several times for interrupting her, to my favor they have happened less and less by the correction but I do forget every once in a while and she has to take me aside and show me my fault again and forgive me. By following the Word we are able to keep the body of believers stronger.

Deeds

Matthew 16:27

For the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then ‘He will repay everyone according to his deeds.

While Yeshua was explaining to his talmidim what was going to happen soon, we as believers must focus on how Yeshua is going to repay those who believe. It is by our deeds not our lips that we are known as believers and it is by our deeds that Yeshua will repay us in the time after this. Adonai, thank You for Your Word Yeshua and the infilling of the Ruach ha Kodesh. Thank You for giving me the desire not just to tell people about what I believe but to put actions to my words. Thank You for the spurring on to help others by letting so many help me and my family in the past. I praise Your holy name, Amen and Amen

Steadfast

Matthew 13:29-30

But he says, ‘No, for while you are gathering up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time, I will tell the reapers, “First, gather up the weeds and tie them in bundles to burn them up; but gather the wheat into my barn.'”

We as believers only have to deal with the weeds and tares that try to steal the living water from us and bring us to ruin for a short time. When we as believers have matured and been steadfast in our trust we will be gathered up to serve God.

Salvation for All

Matthew 10 5-6, 16-18

Yeshua sent out these twelve and ordered them, “Do not go to the Gentiles, and do not enter into any Samaritan town. But go instead to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. But beware of men, for they will hand you over to the courts and flog you in their synagogues. You will be brought before governors and kings because of Me, as a witness to them and to the Gentiles.

Yeshua came to gather in the lost nation of Israel, just as he ordered his talmidim to do. Yet in doing so and because of the stubborn hearts of the leaders of the time, God’s Word, which is salvation through Yeshua, spread through all the nations. Thank You God for ensuring all men can seek Your face. Bless You Lord for Your salvation in Yeshua ha Massiach! Amen
