Character

Acts 6:8-10

Now Stephen, full of grace and power, was doing great wonders and signs among the people. But some men from what was called the Synagogue of the Freedmen—both Cyrenians and Alexandrians, as well as some from Cilicia and Asia—stood up and began arguing with Stephen. But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Ruach by whom he was speaking.

Stephen is the example. His heart was correctly circumcised before Adonai and He was filled with the Ruach. Not only was his actions just but the Ruach directed him in quelling the slander against him. Lord let me be a Stephen willing and able to serve when called. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Immersed

Acts 5:18-21
They arrested the emissaries and put them in the public jail. But during the night, an angel of ADONAI opened the doors of the prison, led them out and said, “Go, stand in the Temple court and keep telling the people all about this new life!” After hearing that, they entered the Temple area about dawn and began to teach.

I must learn to follow the example of the emissaries letting nothing keep me for doing what we as believers are called to do, teaching everyone the Love of Adonai through the Word and sacrifice of Yeshua. Doors will open and opportunities will arise as long as I stay true to the Word. Thank You God for Your commission that You place in our hearts.

Together

Acts 2:46-47
Continuing faithfully and with singleness of purpose to meet in the Temple courts daily, and breaking bread in their several homes, they shared their food in joy and simplicity of heart, praising God and having the respect of all the people. And day after day the Lord kept adding to them those who were being saved.

There is no greater work that we can accomplish than to bind ourselves together in worshiping Adonai and adding to the congregation.

False Flags

Exodus 9:27-34

Pharaoh summoned Moshe and Aharon and said to them, “This time I have sinned: ADONAI is in the right; I and my people are in the wrong. Intercede with ADONAI—we can’t take any more of this terrible thunder and hail; and I will let you go, you will stay no longer.” Moshe said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread out my hands to ADONAI; the thunder will end, and there won’t be any more hail—so that you can know that the earth belongs to ADONAI. But you and your servants, I know you still won’t fear ADONAI, God.” The flax and barley were ruined, because the barley was ripe and the flax in bud. But the wheat and buckwheat were not ruined, because they come up later. (Maftir) Moshe went out of the city, away from Pharaoh, and spread out his hands to ADONAI. The thunder and hail ended, and the rain stopped pouring down on the earth. When Pharaoh saw that the rain, hail and thunder had ended, he sinned still more by making himself hardhearted, he and his servants.

How many times have I been like Pharaoh, crying out for relief from my sinful ways only to plunge back into them when the relief came. Dear God forgive me for all my false starts and insincere pleadings, I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Pride

Luke 21:25-28
“There will appear signs in the sun, moon and stars; and on earth, nations will be in anxiety and bewilderment at the sound and surge of the sea, as people faint with fear at the prospect of what is overtaking the world; for the powers in heaven will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with tremendous power and glory. When these things start to happen, stand up and hold your heads high; because you are about to be liberated!”

Yeshua himself tells us no matter how distressed the world is around us, we are to “stand up and hold your heads high”. There can be no shame in us if we are in lockstep with Adonai’s will for our lives. Dear Lord thank You for Your guiding hand in my life through Your Spirit, amen.

The Word

Luke 20:18

Whoever falls on that stone will be broken in pieces; but if it falls on him, he will be crushed to powder!”

When I fall on the Word for guidence, I may be broken of the preconceived ideas I have in the moment but I gain a deeper understanding of my relationship with Adonai. When I try to exeicute my ideas without the Word I fail and on reflection find why I fail in the Word. The Word of God is useful in all things!

Interference

Luke 19:7-8

Everyone who saw it began muttering, “He has gone to be the house-guest of a sinner.” But Zakkai stood there and said to the Lord, “Here, Lord, I am giving half of all I own to the poor; and if I have cheated anyone, I will pay him back four times as much.”

While everyone was focused on Yeshua visiting a sinner, Zakkai was focus on getting his heart right with Adonai. When salvation comes it can never be shaken by nay sayers. Lord keep me from being at cross purposes with anyone serving You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name amen.

Prayer

Psalm 5: 2-4

Give ear to my words, ADONAI,
consider my inmost thoughts.
Listen to my cry for help,
my king and my God, for I pray to you.
ADONAI, in the morning you will hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my needs before you
and wait expectantly.

Everyday we are to lay our cares before Adonai so He can take care of them and we can be about the Fathers business. Prayer, that daily communication with Abba is what steels us for the time ahead. Abba thank You for teaching us to stop and listen to You and Your Word. Continue to teach me to live more righteously for You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name amen.

Unchanging

Luke 16:17

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter in the Torah to become void.

There is only one Word that is Adonai’s. Yeshua completed it not changed it. Without this Word written on our hearts there is no bases for salvation, because the sacrifice of Yeshua would have no meaning. Lord thank You for Your Word may it forever be a lamp unto my feet like the psalmist wrote. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
