Zechariah 7:8-10

Again the word of Adonai came to Zechariah saying, “Thus says Adonai-Tzva’ot: ‘Administer true judgment and practice mercy and compassion each to his brother. Do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the outsider or the poor. Furthermore, do not let any of you devise evil against one another in your heart.’

This is the root of “love your neighbor” we, the body of believers, are to be the social programs to help one another, not goverments. God keep me focused on helping others. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Cling to the Word

Zechariah 1:4-6

4 Do not be like your fathers to whom the former prophets cried out saying, thus says Adonai-Tzva’ot, ‘Turn back now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But they did not listen or pay attention to Me.’ It is a declaration of Adonai.
5 “Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? 6 But My words and My decrees, which I commanded My servants the prophets—did they not overtake your fathers? Then they repented and said ‘As He determined, Adonai-Tzva’ot has dealt with us according to our ways and our deeds.'”

While this was a prophecy to confirm what Daniel and Haggi had prophesied it still stands today, rebellion against God’s Word brings condemnation and death, while obedience brings life and comfort. Dear Lord keep me always in Your Word so that I may always draw closer to You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Rejoice in God

Luke 10:20

20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names have been written in the heavens.”

No matter what authority Adonai grants us here on this earth, our true rejoicing is that we will be redeemed and with Him in that day of reckoning. El Elyon thank You for Your salvation in the sacrifice of Yeshua, Your one and only son. Without which we could not be rectified to You. Amen.

The Message

Luke 7:24-28

24 And after John’s messengers left, He began to speak about John to the crowds. “What did you go out to the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? 25 No? So what did you go out to see? A man dressed in fine garments? Look, those who wear finery and live in luxury are in the palaces of kings! 26 Then what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, even more than a prophet. 27 This is the one about whom it is written,
‘Behold, I send My messenger before You,
who will prepare Your way before You.’
28 I say to you, there is no one greater than John among those born of women; yet the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

It is the message, the Word that separates us from this world. As belivers we shouldn’t be mesmerized by flashy stage shows and mega theaters but by the truth that is given. We must test all that claim to be from God against His Word. Abba keep me guarded by your Word. Let me be that firmly planted tree that produces good fruit for You, I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

The Good Measure

I want to note that this is not a prosperity message today. I came across this verse in my daily reading and was struck on how God has always provided for my needs, not made me rich.

Luke 6:38

38 Give, and it will be given to you—a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, overflowing, will be given into your lap. For whatever measure you measure out will be measured back to you.”

When I read this verse I thought of measuring grain, you can pour it in a cup and have a measure or hit the side of the cup settling the grain tighter, pack it down, and heap the top for a fuller measure. That’s what I believe Yeshua was talking about, Abba giving his children that fuller measure. I have never truely searched for a job, I have always been approached or stumbled onto jobs for provision. My wife and my debt has been resolved in a way I would have never imagined. My health which should be ten times worse than it is, well I always have the strength to serve when called. God is watching us and keeping us praise Adonai in His provision because none of this I could have done on my own. Thank You Adonai Elohim.

Study

Daniel 9:1-3

1″In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of Median descent, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans, 2 in the first year of his reign—I, Daniel, understood from the books that according to the word of Adonai to Jeremiah the prophet, the number of the years for the fulfilling of the desolation of Jerusalem would be 70 years. 3 So I set my face to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes.
Like Daniel we can discover promises of Adonai by studying His Word. But it is not enough to just study, we must pray also understanding and fullfilment of the Word. Lord give me time in this busy life to stop and study and pray over Your Word, I ask in Yeshua’s name amen.

Habits

Luke 4:16

16 And He came to Natzeret, where He had been raised. As was His custom, He went into the synagogue on Shabbat, and He got up to read.

I must be more like Yeshua and create habits of worship, such as going to the synagogue on Shabbat, studying the Word, praying in intercesion and fasting. For this is how we as believers hear God speak to us. Lord preserve me in my efforts to worship You, I ask this in Yeshua’s name amen.

Spirit Filled

Daniel 6:4

4 Now this Daniel was distinguishing himself among the supervisors and satraps because he had an extraordinary spirit in him. In fact, the king planned to appoint him over the entire kingdom.

Those who trust in Adonai cannot be mistaken, the Ruach sits on them as a mantle of separation for God. Dear Lord continue to indwell in me, write Your Word upon my heart and keep it in the front of my mind, let it be the strength of my days. I ask this in Yeshua’s name amen.

Light of the World

Luke 2:32

32 ‘A light for revelation to the nations’
and the glory of Your people Israel.”

Yeshua is the light that that infuses the glory of God onto His chosen people.

Light Shine

Luke 1:78-79

78 Through our God’s heart of mercy,
the Sunrise from on high will come upon us,
79 to give light to those who sit in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet in the way of shalom.”

I believe the sunrise Zechariah is talking about is the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit, which reveals itself to us so that we may learn Adonai’s ways. Lord let the light of your salvation shine through me so others may know Your love through the sacrifice of Yeshua, I ask this in Yeshua’s name amen.
