God authors all rewards

Revelations 19:1

After these things, I heard what sounded like the roar of a huge crowd in heaven, shouting,
“Halleluyah!
The victory, the glory, the power of our God!

There is no victory, no glory, no reward that God is not at the root of it. To Him goes all honor, worship and praise because it was by His hand we are made and by His hand we are delivered from eternal damnation through trust in the sacrifice of Yeshua. It is no wonder that as this revelation of Yochanan closes that all creation shouts the praises of ADONAI ELOHEI-TZVA’OT, Lord God of Hosts! Lord let take to heart to praise You in all things. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Pay attention

Revelation 16:11

yet they cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and sores and did not turn from their sinful deeds.

God does try to get our attention. There is a whole bible filled with examples and they usually deal with people who are tired of doing the same painful thing over and over again. I know I have beat my head against that wall several times before I came to trust. Nothing will change until you are willing to trust in the sacrifice of Yeshua and the sovereignty of ADONAI. Lord, please let this world see You in their lives so they can come to trust in You, I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

To serve before Him

Revelation 7:13-15

One of the elders asked me, “These people dressed in white robes—who are they, and where are they from?” “Sir,” I answered, “you know.” Then he told me, “These are the people who have come out of the Great Persecution. They have washed their robes and made them white with the blood of the Lamb. That is why they are before God’s throne.
“Day and night they serve him in his Temple;
and the One who sits on the throne
will put his Sh’khinah upon them.

This is us the body of believers! In this body and time only the sons of Aaron are allowed to serve in the temple that is built by men here on earth. But if we stand firm in our trust in the sacrifice of Yeshua and follow the mitzvahs of ADONAI then we will be allowed to serve in the ultimate temple of God’s presence where there will be no sin or death! Oh what a glorious place that will be! Abba thank You for Your promise in Your Word! I praise Your Holy Name, amen!

Revelation

Revelation 1:1

This is the revelation which God gave to Yeshua the Messiah, so that he could show his servants what must happen very soon. He communicated it by sending his angel to his servant Yochanan,

There is only one way we as humans get revelation from ADONAI, through Yeshua the Messiah, the true Word. Shlomo writes that: “ADONAI made me as the beginning of his way, the first of his ancient works.” and “I was with him as someone he could trust.” {Mishlei (Proverbs) 8:22 and 30a} There is nothing that is created or revealed that it is not first given to Yeshua because everything was laid at his feet by the Creator, ADONAI. So too with words of prophecy and wisdom they can only come from one source to be true, ADONAI via Yeshua through the Ruach HaKodesh. It is up to us to test and make sure it is the correct spirit that we are listening too in these times. Lord keep my ears inclined to You alone, let me hear all You have to tell me through Your salvation Yeshua. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen

His Commands

2 John 1:6

Moreover, love is this: that we should live according to his commands. This is the command, as you people have heard from the beginning; live by it!

We show the world our love for ADONAI by keeping His commands as given to us in Torah. This was surmised by Yeshua when He was tested by the leaders of Judah, love ADONAI with everything we have mind, body and spirit, and love our neighbors as ourselves. Lord let me always be faithful to Your commands. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Love removes fear

1John 4:18

There is no fear in love. On the contrary, love that has achieved its goal gets rid of fear, because fear has to do with punishment; the person who keeps fearing has not been brought to maturity in regard to love.

I have entered into relationships because I was afraid to be alone. They all have cost me dearly in my life, yet I was blessed by God to enter into two marriages where He was the center of the love we felt for each other, and while both have had their challenges, by keeping focused on God, I would not trade a moment. As John says “There is no fear in love.” Lord let my life be that testimony, I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Focus on our task, not others

John 21:20-22

Kefa turned and saw the talmid Yeshua especially loved following behind, the one who had leaned against him at the supper and had asked, “Who is the one who is betraying you?” On seeing him, Kefa said to Yeshua, “Lord, what about him?” Yeshua said to him, “If I want him to stay on until I come, what is it to you? You, follow me!”

Just before these verses Yeshua had challenged Kefa on his commitment and told him how he would die. Instead of focusing on his commission, Kefa did what I have done many times “well what about the other guy” why does he get a better deal than me. ADONAI calls all of us to serve but not all of us to do the same thing. Sha’ul explains the body of believers can’t all be an eye, or all be a ear, some have to be hands and feet and arms and legs and so on. Petty jealousies can tear down a congregation just as fast as slanderous gossip. As believers we should focus on what we are called to do and help our fellow believers in what they are called to do. Lord let me always look to Your service and Your desires for me instead of pining for the commission of others. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Haste hurts

John 18:10-11

Then Shim’on Kefa, who had a sword, drew it and struck the slave of the cohen hagadol, cutting off his right ear; the slave’s name was Melekh. Yeshua said to Kefa, “Put your sword back in its scabbard! This is the cup the Father has given me; am I not to drink it?”

I read this and see myself in Kefa. Thoughtless action to resolve a time of great stress. When there is a movement of ADONAI and I try to shape it to my own understanding and power instead of with discipline (meekness) and patience listening, follow the leadership of the Ruach HaKodesh since Yeshua himself stated the Spirit can only speak truth so that we as a nation of trust will act as one. As Shlomo wrote there is a time for all things, but only in God’s time will all things be revealed. Lord let me hear Your Word more fully as You send the Counselor to lead me in these days. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Follow God, not the crowd

Yochanan (John) 12:42-43

Nevertheless, many of the leaders did trust in him; but because of the P’rushim they did not say so openly, out of fear of being banned from the synagogue; for they loved praise from other people more than praise from God.

When a leader loves the adoration of the masses more that the approval of ADONAI false teaching, even if it is by omission, will occur. Only those who submit to the full leadership of God in their lives will be rewarded in that day, while everyone else who sought to be a leader will be held accountable for their attempted usurpation. Lord keep me under Your protective hand and let me always walk in the light of Your face. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Actions speak

Yochanan (John) 10:37-38

“If I am not doing deeds that reflect my Father’s power, don’t trust me. But if I am, then, even if you don’t trust me, trust the deeds; so that you may understand once and for all that the Father is united with me, and I am united with the Father.”

Even for Yeshua it was His actions that show the world that He was the Mashiach. It is the same for us, it is our actions that show our trust in ADONAI, not our words. We must be the hands and feet of the body of believers not just the mouth. Lord every day give me opportunity and actions to show You are the Lord of my life. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
