Daily Listen

Romans 12:2
In other words, do not let yourselves be conformed to the standards of the ‘olam hazeh. Instead, keep letting yourselves be transformed by the renewing of your minds; so that you will know what God wants and will agree that what he wants is good, satisfying and able to succeed.

Sha’ul is telling us that we shouldn’t conform to the worldly times around us the “olam hazeh”. Instead every time we wake up we should refresh our minds by prayer and studying ADONAI’s word so that we know anew what God wants and how to achieve it. It is this continual spiritual mikvah, or cleansing of minds, hearts and spirits that lets us face the grind of living among a world obsessed by self worship over serving ADONAI. Lord let me always seek Your will for my life and my daily actions. Let my service be a testament to Your salvation through Yeshua. Never let me fail to hear Your Ruach in my heart. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Grafted in

Romans 11:13-15
However, to those of you who are Gentiles I say this: since I myself am an emissary sent to the Gentiles, I make known the importance of my work in the hope that somehow I may provoke some of my own people to jealousy and save some of them! For if their casting Yeshua aside means reconciliation for the world, what will their accepting him mean? It will be life from the dead!

As believers we must remember that we are grafted into the nation state of Israel. As Sha’ul says we have one purpose to bring Israel back to ADONAI through the jealousy of our own testimony. What alot of us don’t think about is that if ADONAI was willing to send His own people into diaspora for over 2000 years what will He do to us when we become willful and disobedient. We as the body have lost the fear of the Lord and gone off chasing tangents ignoring what Sha’ul says “So you will say, “Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” True, but so what? They were broken off because of their lack of trust. However, you keep your place only because of your trust. So don’t be arrogant; on the contrary, be terrified! For if God did not spare the natural branches, he certainly won’t spare you! So take a good look at God’s kindness and his severity: on the one hand, severity toward those who fell off; but, on the other hand, God’s kindness toward you—provided you maintain yourself in that kindness! Otherwise, you too will be cut off!” (Romans 11:19-21) Lord let me remain always with You. Never let me forget to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and cover Your people with prayers of intercession. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, ame

Confessing Trust

Romans 10:10
For with the heart one goes on trusting and thus continues toward righteousness, while with the mouth one keeps on making public acknowledgement and thus continues toward deliverance.

As is repeated throughout the bible, trust without actions is useless. If we truly trust that ADONAI rest in our hearts then we must confess openly and fully with our mouths so others may come to know Him as well. Without the confession of what we as believers hold in our hearts then it doesn’t really matter. We are like the servant in Yeshua’s parable that buried the talent and didn’t even make a little money in interest for his master, fit only to have the money entrusted to him removed and cast out for his laziness. Abba let me be a good and faithful servant and finish this race by giving honor and praise to Your name. Let me be strong in confessing Your Name to the world so that no one can say they did not know Your love. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Wisdom is calling

Proverbs 8:1-3
 Wisdom is calling!
Understanding is raising her voice!
On the heights along the road,
where the paths meet, she is standing;
by the gates leading into the city,
at the entrances, she cries aloud:

Wisdom is always there calling to us, wanting us to learn and grow from her counsel. What is wisdom, fearing ADONAI, trusting in the sacrifice of Yeshua, his blood covering our sins and listening to the Ruach as he guides us in our lives. The thing we have to do is listen and learn. Lord let my heart, mind and soul be open to listen, learn and practice Your wisdom. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Wisdom

Proverbs 3:7-8
Don’t be conceited about your own wisdom;
but fear ADONAI, and turn from evil.
This will bring health to your body
and give strength to your bones.

How many of us suffer due to our own willful disobedience. I know I do, for years I have struggled with diabetes all because of my weight which I put on all because I didn’t fully exercise and got lazy after I had a mild stroke, which I had because of all the fat and sugar I was eating clogged my arteries, which I ate because it made me feel better and filled that void (poorly) I had in my soul by not trusting ADONAI fully in His Wisdom. ADONAI wants us to be all we can and that starts with pursuing His wisdom over man’s. Following the dietary laws in Leviticus I have been able to manage my diabetes with my diet for the most part. Working hard labor jobs I have been able to rebuild a lot of the strength in my body and I have lost a good bit of the fat I have been carrying. All of this would not have happened if I did not set aside my own sinful gluttony through submitting to God, heed the Word of ADONAI by studying every day so I can learn more and praying and communing with the Ruach HaKodesh to aid me when I am weak. Lord let me learn even more of Your wisdom so I can share it with others. Let me always stand securely on Your Word and let it be a light to the world. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Given/Earned

Romans 6:23

23 For what one earns from sin is death; but eternal life is what one receives as a free gift from God, in union with the Messiah Yeshua, our Lord.

We have earned our death before our righteous God, yet if we trust Him and the pardon He embodied in Yeshua, then we will have life forever. Lord as the man said to Yeshua, “I trust, help me to trust.” Strengthen me for the days ahead so that I might be the example you would have me be. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

His Footstool

1 Kings 9:3
ADONAI said to him, “I have heard your prayer and your plea that you made before me: I am consecrating this house which you built and placing my name there forever; my eyes and heart will always be there.

God Himself has said that His eyes and heart will always be in Jerusalem, what more do we need to know about the sanctity of His footstool. Abba please touch the hearts of Your people and let them know the peace of trusting in You. Let Your Ruach infill them so that there is no place left but love and righteous anger for any who would oppose You. Lord let Your people in Your city Jerusalem call out with one heart ‘Baruch ha-ba b’shem Adonai, Blessed is he who comes in the name of ADONAI. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Dedication

2 Chronicles 6:18-21
“But can God actually live with human beings on the earth? Why, heaven itself, even the heaven of heavens, cannot contain you; so how much less this house I have built? Even so, ADONAI my God, pay attention to your servant’s prayer and plea, listen to the cry and prayer that your servant is praying before you, that your eyes will be open toward this house day and night—toward the place where you said you would put your name—to listen to the prayer your servant will pray toward this place. Yes, listen to the pleas of your servant, and also those of your people Isra’el when they pray toward this place. Hear from where you live, from heaven; and when you hear, forgive!

While Shlomo is offering this prayer at the dedication of the temple, how much more should it mean to us today. With the sacrifice of Yeshua’s blood to cover our sin and in the infilling of the Ruach HaKodesh our very hearts now as believers are the temple of this dedication. How many of us take time to pray to ADONAI and thank Him for His indwelling of us, setting us apart for His service, I know I am very weak in this, but what power when we humble ourselves and worship our Creator. Lord forgive me for not stopping enough and worship You. Let my prayers no longer be a list of wants but a conversation of the heart to hear Your Word and write it such in my mind and spirit so others can know just by looking at me that I am Your servant. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Simply Trust

Romans 29-31
Or is God the God of the Jews only? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, he is indeed the God of the Gentiles; because, as you will admit, God is one. Therefore, he will consider righteous the circumcised on the ground of trusting and the uncircumcised through that same trusting. Does it follow that we abolish Torah by this trusting? Heaven forbid! On the contrary, we confirm Torah.

It really is as simple as Sha’ul stated we either trust in ADONAI or we don’t. That trust confirms the Word given to Moshe and we will be rewarded in time for that trust. Lord let my trust always grow in You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Praise Him

Psalm 98:1
Sing a new song to ADONAI,
because he has done wonders.
His right hand, his holy arm
have won him victory.

We are to engage with ADONAI daily through prayer and study of His Word embodied by Yeshua. It is this personal and intimate exchange that renews us and makes us a new creation with the indwelling of the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit. Therefore each day we should have a new song of praise and worship to sing to ADONAI as we learn more of Him. Lord let me always bow before You and sing of Your glory in all that You do. There is none more holy and just that You. Praise Your Holy Name, amen.
