Declare!

Tehillim (Psalms) 107:1-3

Give thanks to ADONAI; for he is good,

for his grace continues forever.

Let those redeemed by ADONAI say it,

those he redeemed from the power of the foe.

He gathered them from the lands,

from the east and from the west,

from the north and from the sea.

No matter where we are from or what we did before, once ADONAI has gathered us into the body of believers, we must let the world know of our redemption.  This isn’t just say a prayer of salvation and move on with no change in our life but a shot of affirmation that comes from our renewed spirit through the Ruach that we cannot help but to declare it from the mountains of our lives.  Lord let me never forget the rock that is my salvation the cleft that You hide me in, the blood that You provided through Yeshua HaMashiach.  Let the world have no doubt in whom I serve.  I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Watchmen

Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 62:6-7
I have posted watchmen
on your walls, Yerushalayim;
they will never fall silent,
neither by day nor by night.
You who call on ADONAI,
give yourselves no rest;
and give him no rest till he restores Yerushalayim
and makes it a praise on earth.

Do we as the body of believers truly give ADONAI no rest? Do we continually stand in the gap as the watchman and send up prayers for the restoration of all things and the return of Yeshua? I have to look around me and say we don’t. Violence is increasing, natural disasters are more devastating, nations push each other to the brink of war over things that in 20 or 30 years won’t matter because something else will be more important. Where are the watchmen who are crying out? Isn’t that supposed to be us, the ones called to help the widows and orphans that God puts in our path? I strive to be one of the watchmen crying out to God for God but I fail more than I succeed, but imagine the power of the supernatural is the whole body of believers sought God in the same instant. Lord let me keep You in the front of my mind and on the strength of my hands so that I may always serve You. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

The Word of our Hearts

Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 59:21

“And as for me,” says ADONAI,

 “this is my covenant with them:

 my Spirit, who rests on you,

 and my words which I put in your mouth

 will not depart from your mouth

 or from the mouth of your children,

 or from the mouth of your children’s children,

 now or ever,” says ADONAI.

Any blessing, any word, any anointing ADONAI lays upon us, is ours to employ for His glory.  God does not take away anything He gives us but we can loose sight of this and revert to pursuing our own sinful self interest if we do not cultivate and strengthen the gifts God gives to us.  Sha’ul was anointed king over all Israel but he lost sight of whom did the anointing and lost the kingdom and his life.  David never once turned his back on ADONAI even when he sinned and from his linage God brought up the savior of all mankind.  God gives us the Word that will save our lives and the lives of all our descendants which is Yeshua, if we just trust in Him.  Lord strengthen my trust, I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Disciplined for us

Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 53:5

But he was wounded because of our crimes,

 crushed because of our sins;

 the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him,

 and by his bruises we are healed.

Discipline that we could not bear up under to resolve us back to ADONAI, Yeshua bore without complaint and with desire to see all who trust in Him redeemed.  I am just floored by that today, I have been disciplined and I have done much to avoid discipline pretty much all my life and here Yeshua willingly takes on these slanders from the members of the Sanhedrin and local rulers, beatings and at least one flogging and even death for our sake, Lord how can we ever be worthy of You.  Lord I am humbled more that I can remember, forgive me, hold me, keep me.  In Yeshua’s name, amen.

Just rejoicing

Tehillim (Psalm) 92:13-16

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,

 they will grow like a cedar in the L’vanon.

  Planted in the house of ADONAI,

 they will flourish in the courtyards of our God.

  Even in old age they will be vigorous,

 still full of sap, still bearing fruit,

  proclaiming that ADONAI is upright,

 my Rock, in whom there is no wrong

My spirit is filled knowing that we who trust in ADONAI will flourish in His courtyards.  Lord today more than ever I praise Your Holy Name, amen and amen.

Look to God in all things

Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 47:10-11

You were at ease in your wickedness,

 you thought, “No one sees me.”

 Your “wisdom” and “knowledge” perverted you,

 as you thought to yourself,

 “I am important, and no one else.”

  Yet disaster will befall you,

 and you won’t know how to charm it away;

 calamity will come upon you,

 and you won’t be able to turn it aside;

 ruin will overcome you,

 suddenly, before you know it.

I fear there are many with the spirit of Babylon that Yesha’yahu was speaking against in this passage.  Even I find myself not focusing of the return of Yeshua and getting lost in the moment worrying about things that in the eternal view does not matter.  People like to be comfortable and feel secure but as ADONAI sifts us through this world wide pandemic many are finding they are not able to feel secure and comfortable as they used to be because they have given no thought to tomorrow and beyond.  Lord let me never loose sight of the goal that You have given all of us to be reconciled back to You through Yeshua.  Let me be a pioneer to others so that they too can come to know You Lord.  I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Every Knee will bow

Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 45:22-25

Look to me, and be saved,

all the ends of the earth!

For I am God;

there is no other.

In the name of myself I have sworn,

from my mouth has rightly gone out,

a word that will not return—

that to me every knee will bow

and every tongue will swear about me

that only in ADONAI

are justice and strength.”

All who rage against him

will come to him ashamed,

but all the descendants of Isra’el

will find justice and glory in ADONAI.

We see this today, the world and worldly raging against Yeshua and the salvation He bought for all who trust in the sacrifice He made to redeem us back to ADONAI.  Yet for however much the non-believers rage they too will have to acknowledge in their own shame there is only one God and He will bring justice to this world.  Lord hide me in the rock of Your salvation, Yeshua HaMashiach, when You judge us for our lives.  I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Comfort each other

Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 40:1″Comfort and keep comforting my people,” says your God.

We have a command that I have missed all the times I have read this chapter. We as believers are to keep comforting each other day in and day out until such time as ADONAI calls us to heaven. It is in this comforting that we allow each other to bear up under persecutions, pruning, and heartbreak and receive blessings in the help we give one another. I believe that when the body of believers truly comforts and cares for one another we will see the fulfillment of the verses 29-31 “He invigorates the exhausted, he gives strength to the powerless. Young men may grow tired and weary, even the fittest may stumble and fall; but those who hope in ADONAI will renew their strength, they will soar aloft as with eagles’ wings; when they are running they won’t grow weary, when they are walking they won’t get tired. Lord let me be the comfort that you command me to be and never fail in this commission. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen

Leave a Legacy

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 39:1-8

 M’rodakh-Bal’adan the son of Bal’adan, king of Bavel, heard that Hizkiyahu had been ill and had recovered, so he sent a letter and a gift to him.  Hizkiyahu was pleased with the gifts and showed the messengers all of the building where he kept his treasures, including the silver, gold, spices and precious oils; also all of the building where he kept his armor; and everything in his treasury—there was nothing in his palace or in his entire domain that Hizkiyahu did not show them.  Then Yesha’yahu the prophet came to King Hizkiyahu and asked him, “What did these men say? Where did they come from?” Hizkiyahu answered, “They came to me from a distant country, Bavel.”  Yesha’yahu asked, “What have they seen in your palace?” “They have seen everything in my palace,” said Hizkiyahu. “There isn’t a thing among my treasures that I haven’t shown them.”  Yesha’yahu said to Hizkiyahu, “Hear what ADONAI-Tzva’ot says:  ‘The day will come when everything in your palace, along with everything your ancestors stored up until today, will be carried off to Bavel. Nothing will be left,’ says ADONAI.  ‘They will carry off some of your descendants, your own offspring; and they will be made eunuchs serving in the palace of the king of Bavel.”  Hizkiyahu said to Yesha’yahu, “The word of ADONAI which you have just told me is good”; because he thought, “At least peace and truth will continue during my lifetime.”

Oh Lord the firehose of the Word pouring forth! Here we have Hizkiyahu being delivered from death through prayer and celebrating this miracle with non-believers so they can report back to their king.  Hizkiyahu then being told his actions will bring damnation on his children and he is alright with that since all will be well in the meantime with him.  Yet is it not the way we believers act when ADONAI miraculously delivers us from grave threat.  We are so relieved and rejoicing that we tell everyone and show them everything and in doing so expose ourselves for non-believers to try to tear us down.  Or we tolerate their presence in among our most precious gifts from God that, as Yeshua taught, they plant tares among the grain of our testimony so that our children will be led into the same captivity that we have just been delivered from.  While we must rejoice in the moments that God gave us we must also be like King David, planning and building up resources so that our children and grand children can know the Lord, just as he provided for Shlomo to build the temple.  Lord let me leave a legacy for my children that cannot be corrupted or stolen.  I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

Heartcry

Tehillim (Psalms) 76:8-10

You are fearsome! When once you are angry,

 who can stand in your presence?

  You pronounce sentence from heaven;

 the earth grows silent with fear

  when God arises to judge,

 to save all the humble of the earth.

Oh Lord I look at the chaos reported in the world and wonder is this the start of Your judgement for our sins.  Lord forgive us our hubris in thinking we could legislate a morality that conflicts with what You established at creation and demand You accept us on our terms and not trusting in the salvation You provided through Yeshua.  ADONAI forgive us, I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.
