God gave Shlomo exceptional wisdom and understanding, as well as a heart as vast as the sandy beach by the sea. Shlomo’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of the people from the east and all the wisdom of Egypt.
Wisdom without a heart for ADONAI is useless. Intelligence must be tempered with compassion in order for it to be used correctly in solving the trials of this world that we face. Dear Lord let me always do what You would have me do so all may see Your love for them before they see Your justice. I ask this in Yeshua’s name, amen.

For myself, I would never use the word “useless” in the same sentence as “wisdom,” because I tend to see the value of wisdom in less dualistic terms. Although, I am quite aware of the many passages in the Pauline writings that contrast the wisdom of G-d, with the wisdom of the world, I also try to take into consideration the verses about wisdom, as found in Proverbs, particularly chapters 3 and 8. For myself, I always try to seek a balanced view of scripture; as is advocated, to balance scripture with scripture.
Although, perhaps my aversion to the word, useless in regard to wisdom has to do with an implication that there is a category of “useless wisdom.” This reminds me of the unrelenting stance of a pastor friend of mine, whose view, seems to be that such wisdom that might be found outside of the Bible is useless. At any rate, I appreciate your blogposts; although, every now and then one of your posts might have a trace of the divisive mentality found in neo- Protestantism that can’t be reconciled with my own holistic Messianic views. Thank you for permitting me to share my thoughts.

Thanks for your comment Shimon but I think the your quotes from Proverbs prove my point. Any wisdom used outside the love and trust of ADONAI will not bring salvation and thus useless. It is the fear of ADONAI that tempers wisdom into the tool that will repair the broken soul and bring us back to Him.
